SPRING FUNDRAISER - Friday, MARCH 19TH, 6:00 p.m. Hillside’s annual Spring Fundraiser is just around the corner – March 19th to be exact – and we still need your help! This is our biggest event of the year and we all need to rally to make it a great night. The Power of Many – Think about getting together with others to make your own basket. 10 people + $10 bucks each = One great basket! Find a common theme and show your creativity with a basket of related items. Book Club, Girls Night Out (or In), Foodie, Family Game Night, Date Night, Wii....the possibilities are endless. Super 50/50 Raffle – DEADLINE Friday, March 12th Each family was mailed a booklet of five 50/50 Raffle tickets. The winning ticket holder will get half the money that is collected from sales of these tickets and the other half will go toward paying for the spring carnival. Here’s what you need to know: You can purchase (or sell) as many tickets as you like. Friends, family, fellow employees and neighbors are eligible to participate. Whoever purchases a ticket KEEPS the portion with the “50/50” details on it. Return, with the money, the portion that has the name, address and phone number. (Please write neatly so we can contact the winner if they’re not present for the drawing.) These tickets will not be sold during our event on March 19th but the winning ticket will be drawn that night. Due to strict auditing regulations, the winning ticket holder MUST be able to provide their ticket stub in order to claim their prize. Basket Wrapping Session – This is a fun opportunity to socialize and get a sneak peek at all the wonderful baskets for the Spring Fundraiser. (and there’s always HOT coffee!) Even if you don’t know anybody, this is a great and low key way to meet people. Join us Wednesday, February 24th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the home of Georgiann Herzinger, 55 Wellington Road. FREECYCLE Something – Gifts that weren’t quite right, a kitchen gadget never opened, the oddball thing-a-ma-bob never used -- We all have new, unused items that could be donated to our spring fundraiser and put together with something else to make a great basket. WE ALSO NEED EMPTY BASKETS OR DECORATIVE CONTAINERS TO PUT THESE ITEMS IN. Get your husband out of the house and have him drop off these items to the home of 35 South Mitchell Avenue. RSVP – You’ve read this far so don’t forget to send in your RSVP! You’re not a true suburbanite until you’ve attended your first tricky tray event -- it’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. YOU’LL HAVE A GREAT TIME!!
