EMMA BUCHAN : BIO Emma Buchan has been playing bagpipes since she was nine and could be found competing most weekends during the summer season. She was a successful solo piper on the junior circuit and travelled the World as Pipe Major of the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland. Emma graduated with Honours in Scottish Music and Piping from the RSAMD (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and her principal tutor was Roddy MacLeod MBE. As well as playing professionally, Emma is now teaching privately and studying to be a Secondary Music teacher. She also plays competitively with the Grade One Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band, and enjoys playing Whistle for ceilidh dances with The Ceilidh Mafia.
