WHO… AM I?

*I began my studies in high school

Jesu Academy)
*I received my BA from the University
of Tulsa after completing my Junior
year at La Universidad Complutense
de Madrid
*I received my Master’s from
Washington University
WHAT… AM I TEACHING?
*SPANISH II Students continue their study
of the Spanish language and the cultures of the
Spanish-speaking people of the world.
They listen to and comprehend spoken Spanish,
practice pronunciation and express themselves in
Spanish on a variety of subjects.
The course requires daily homework, class
participation, language laboratory activities, oral
and written quizzes, unit tests, and various
projects for cultural enrichment.
WHAT… WILL STUDENTS DO?
They will:
*use verbs in the past tense to describe and narrate
*use structures and expressions to talk about the future
plans and activities
* use vocabulary and expressions to conduct
conversations, to ask for and give opinions/help on a
variety of topics (shopping travel, holidays & celebrations
, community, professions…)
*demonstrate an understanding of the relationship
between the products, practices and perspectives of the
cultures studied
HOW… WILL STUDENTS BE
ASSESSED?
Homework, quizzes, tests
Projects, presentations, etc… 70%
Oral Participation, daily preparation,
attendance… 15%
Daily assignments, binder checks… 15%
