Lesson 2, The EDIT Strategy
Passage 3D
I awoke with a queasy feeling in the pit of my stomch. Today was then day. After weeks
of power-cleaning the huse, I was about to welcome my relatives. Its not that I don't love them
but, wel, they'd be staying for four days. Four dys of living with five extra people.
My grandmother, Aunt Elaine, Uncle Kevin and Cousins Jill and Joe arrived it 3 p.m. on
Saturday. Surprisingly, I didn't have to surender my bedroom. I thin some of my posters would
have given them nightmares—either that or somthing could have crawled out of my closet and
attacked the unlucky won assigned to my rume.
After dinner, when I sat on the floor because their wasn't enough room for me at the table,
I managed to ecape for a while. When I got home at the insanely early hour of 11 p.m. (so I
wouldn't wake aneone up), everyone was asleep except for my mom. I'm a night owl and uslly
watch TV before going to sleep. I quickly learned hat Jill and Joe were asleep an the couches in
the family room, so I'd miss all my favrt late-niht shows.
