Instructions:
 Students will work individually to complete this project.
 Using the internet, students will research and identify 10 Hot Holiday Products for the upcoming
holiday season. After identifying 10 hot products, students will select one of those products and
complete research on that product and the company that produces that product.
 Students will prepare a Power Point summary of their research, and present the Power Point
with an oral presentation. The presentation must include the following:
Day 1:
 Answer these 10 questions in a Word document:
1. Identify ten “hot holiday products” for the upcoming holiday season. Use at least 2 sources and
verify that these products are common to those 2 sources. Cite the internet source.
2. Select ONE of the above products for further research.
3. Identify the brand of the product and company that makes the product (they could be the same).
4. Identify other products that this company has marketed that have experienced success
5. Identify the competition for this product
6. Identify the target market for this product
7. Apply the marketing mix to this product. (4 Ps of the Marketing Mix)
8. When did the company first introduce the product to the marketplace?
9. Why is this product considered a “hot holiday product” for 2015?
10. Explain how the law of supply and demand applies to this product. Remember to clearly identify
how price changes and demonstrate knowledge of the terms scarcity/shortage and surplus.

 Create the PowerPoint (use slide outline)
Day 3:
 Present PowerPoint in class
