Find a case or example of a journalist or media outlet accused and found guilty of plagiarism. Look for something that interests you. b.
Answer the following questions – not a PP this time. i.
Title, author, source of where you found the plagiarism information/article ii.
Summarize the case iii.
Who was the journalist or media organization that plagiarized? Please provide some background info on either the person or the organization. iv.
What was plagiarized? v.
Was a reason given why they plagiarized? vi.
What was the reaction from the media or that person’s co-workers regarding the plagiarism? vii.
Was the case taken to court? viii.
What happened to the reporter/media organization
(legality, penalty, fines, fired from job, etc)? ix.
What is your opinion on the case (please don’t say
“plagiarism is bad”)
You need to select a case that deals with a journalist having plagiarized another journalist’s work. You may need to look at a couple of stories related to the case to find all the information. List all the stories you use to answer the questions.
