Step 1: Write an paragraph about yourself
Students may type or neatly write by hand. Use complete sentences and include accent marks. The following
information must be included.
1. ____ Your name (Me llamo ____.)
2. ____ Your age (Tengo _____ años.)
3. ____ Your birthday (Mi cumpleaños es el _________________). Write out the date and month in
Spanish.
4. ____ A minimum of five adjectives to describe yourself. Mention some adjectives that apply to you and
some that do not. Ex: “Soy inteligente pero no soy estudiosa.”
5. ____ At least three verbs that you like to do.
6. ____ At least three verbs you do not like to do.
7. ____ Use your 1A and 1B vocabulary lists to include at least two other “useful words” in your paragraph
such as también, pero, muy, a veces, según, etc.
Step 2: Memorize your Spanish paragraph
Practice speaking in front of a mirror or your parents! You will present your paragraph verbally in front of the
class. Keep in mind you will not be allowed to read from your paper or use notes during the presentation.
Step 3: Create a paper “doll” representation of yourself
1. ____ Draw your own face on the blank circle provided.
2. ____ In the rectangle (“body”), write six different sentences using “soy” and an adjective. USE THE
PROPER ADJECTIVE ENDINGS.
3. ____ Cut out the legs, head, and arms. Paste them on the “body” (rectangle).
4. ____ Color the entire paper person.
5. ____ Add any details or accessories to your person that you want. Your accessories should represent
your personality and your likes. Ex: include a football helmet, add a baseball/book to your hands, draw
jewelry, etc.

1. Paragraph- All of the above requirements are met. You will be graded on: grammar/adjective endings,
