Myth-A traditional story, esp. one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events 2. Fable-A short story, typically with animals as characters, conveying a moral. 3. Epic-A long poem, typically one derived from ancient oral tradition, narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures or the history of a nation. 4. Pantheon-All the gods of a people or religion collectively 5. Agora-a public open space used for assemblies and markets. 6. Archipelago-A group or chain of islands 7. Peninsula-A piece of land projecting out into a body of water (typically surround on three sides by water) 8. Isthmus-A narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between (like a land bridge) 9. Republic-A state where power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and has an elected president rather than a monarch. 10. Democracy-Government in which the power is held by the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly
