What is the Tech Campaign?
A fundraising effort to purchase Chrome Books that would help students at Seldens
Landing access and use current technology. More technology in the classroom to
helps prepare students to compete in a modern world.
Why does SLES need more technology?
Seldens has a limited amount of technology products. Our computer lab and
laptop carts are aging and are frequently overbooked. Only a few classrooms can
enjoy these resources at any given time. The reality of technology at Seldens is
weekly visits (at best) to a computer lab that is always in demand or being used for
testing or two laptop carts that are usually checked out. Our students need more
frequent, rigorous use of technology to gain any true and lasting benefits. Here are
just a few things students could gain from using a mobile lab of Chrome Books.

Allows teachers to better utilize students’ time as students who have finished

are not isolated or embarrassed by their pace.
