Interact board next year

Who are we writing to?

We are writing letters to currently deployed service members, new recruits and wounded warriors.

I’ve contacted the company who helps us deliver the letters and they told us the most cherished items in the packages are the personal letters of appreciation from

Americans

What to write about?

• Keep your message upbeat and positive Be thankful– share a little bit of yourself

• Ask questions; however, do not discuss death or killing Avoid politics completely and religious in excess. It is all about appreciation and respect.

• Ask yourself: Will this letter bring a smile to someone's face?

Don’t know where to start?

• Start with a salutation, such as “Dear Hero” or

“Dear Brave One”

• Share a little about yourself: Family, Hobbies,

Work, School, Pets, Travel

• Talk about life & interests: Sports, Weather,

Music, Movie, Food, Books

• Express your thanks for their selfless service

• Still can’t find the words? Consider drawing or painting a picture instead.

• (Please avoid glitter!)
