Ancient Egypt We will begin learning about Ancient Egypt this week. Below is a list of many of the things we will be learning. This sheet will hopefully inform you as to what your second grader is learning and help in preparing for the final assessment at the end of our unit. We will be comparing Ancient Egypt to the Native American tribes we previously studied and to Ancient China. Climate, Land and Plant Life o Climate – hot and dry o Land – Nile River, deserts, flooding along the banks of the Nile (which caused richer soil) o Plant Life – grasses along the Nile
