This week at school…
Reading –Novel Study – Students will begin reading assigned novels in guided reading
groups. They will identify new words, write questions and identify character traits of the
main character.
Writing – Grammar practice: Using commas and the correct common homophones in
writing. DLR quiz on Friday.
Math – Introduction to Fractions – Fraction vocabulary, fractions as a division statement
and identifying fractions of a whole and fractions of a set.
VA Studies – Reasons for the Revolutionary War - Students will read VA Studies text
Chapter 5: Virginia and the Revolution pages 77-91 and VA Studies Weekly #16 –
Conflict with England.
