Spanish IVH 2014- 2015 Pacing Guide First Semester: 18 weeks Quarter 1: (9 weeks) AP THEME: Contemporary Life (4 weeks recommended) AP SUBTHEMES: Leisure and Sports, Housing and Shelter, Travel • Explain and discuss camping and ecotourism practices, leisure activities and sports. •Demonstrate comprehension of authentic audio visual and written texts relating to camping and ecotourism practices, leisure activities and sports. Produce oral and written reports on safe camping and ecotourism practices and attitudes. • Demonstrate the process of preparing a successful and safe camp site, respecting and protecting the environment, using the preterit and the imperfect tenses. Express opinions, compare, and offer suggestions for safe camping and ecotourism practices, leisure activities and sports using the present subjunctive with verbs of influence. AP THEME: Global Challenges (4 weeks recommended) AP SUBTHEME: Environmental Issues Discuss and debate important environmental issues.
