Kindergarten!

Dear Kindergarten Families,
I am very excited to be teaching for a second year at Sycolin Creek Elementary! If you
are new to the school, welcome to the community. This is a wonderful place for your child to
begin their academic career! Kindergarten is a very important year for your child. It is a year for
growing in many ways. They will develop new friendships and learn new and exciting things.
Your involvement and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and
your child.
A little about me, I began teaching kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary before
transferring to Sycolin Creek. I attended Loudoun County schools, graduating from Loudoun
Valley High School. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from
Shepherd University. In my free time I enjoy riding my horses, hiking, working out and art!
This year our Kindergarten Orientation will be on Thursday, August 27th
AM Students – 9:00 am
PM Students – 11:00 am
This is a perfect time for your child to come and meet me as well as other students that will be in
their class. They will be able to ride the school bus, see the classroom and I will have an
opportunity to tell you about our upcoming school year!
