Welcome to Ms. Kenny’s Class
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am thrilled to be working with your child. Fifth grade is such
an exciting time. This is a year of important transitions, as well as one
in which many new responsibilities are learned for middle school. I
hope to make your child’s learning experience a fun and exciting one,
and I hope to continue the love of learning that will last throughout
your child’s middle and high school years.
I was part of the founding staff at Sycolin Creek Elementary in
2007. I have taught 5th grade since the school opened. I have also
taught at Ashburn, Dominion Trial and Evergreen Mill Elementary
Schools. This is my 18th year with LCPS.
This year, we’ll have our Back-to-School Night on August 25th
at 7:00 pm and the Open House from 10:00am-11:00am on August
26th. This will be an opportunity for families to visit the classroom
and to learn about what will be happening in 5th grade. Your child
may bring in his/her school supplies when you stop by to visit the
classroom.
