Ms. Atkinson holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with certification to teach Secondary
English, as well as an endorsement in teaching English as a s Second Language . She has
taught in adult education, a private school, and in the public school system. Currently,
Ms. Atkinson teaches English as a Second Language. This year she will teach ESL math,
Advanced ESL English, and ESL Reading 3. She will also sponsor the Muslim Student
association.
Advanced ESL English
During the first nine weeks we will concentrate on grammar, literature, writing. For
grammar we will review verb tenses, parts of speech and learn sentence diagramming. In
our study of literature we will learn the genres of literature, a plot map as we analyze
short stories.
ESL Math
ESL Reading 3
