Dear Student and Families,
I hope you all have had an exciting summer and are ready to enter into the
wonderful world of first grade! This year will be filled with fun, adventure, and a
multitude of enriching learning opportunities. I can’t wait to begin!
I started teaching at Sterling Elementary as a substitute teacher after moving here
from California for my husband’s job. In California, I taught fourth grade for many
years. I have taught many grades over the years in different states, but I have to
say that I love teaching first grade! I have two children, a son and a daughter who
both live in California. Both of my children had baby boys this year, and I feel like
the luckiest grandma ever!
My philosophy is that all students can learn, and I will do everything in my power
to help them. I also ask for your support in helping your child with reading every
day and with homework.
I am looking forward to the 2015-2016 school year at Sterling Elementary, and
welcome you to our orientation on Thursday, August 28th. If you have any
