We are in the midst of presenting
book shares and I am extremely
impressed thus far! Students have
really done an outstanding job
picking appropriate books and
showcasing their choice through a
project. We will continue with
presentations tomorrow and next
week. The next project will not be
due until June 6th.

Muffins with Moms 7:15AM
Today students received their Waterford
persona. This is the role they will play as
we step back in time for a day and
explore the one room schoolhouse used
to educate African American children
following the civil war. Students must
become very familiar with their person’s
background. At school we will begin
calling each other by their new names as
well as start preparing their other needed
materials. Lastly, Mrs. Nixon does a
fingernail check the day of the trip so
students should be scrubbing their hands
thoroughly! 

April 15, 2016! Last day to get
points is May 13th.
The students are putting together something very special and
would love to have you in to see their hard work. Mark your
calendar for April 14th at noon. You won’t want to miss this.
Invitations are coming and students must be in professional
dress. 
DATE CHANGE: The Waterford field trip is now Wednesday
April 20st, 2016. Pease begin thinking about appropriate
clothing for the late 1800’s era. Students must be in full
costume the day of the Waterford trip. Lunches must be time
period appropriate too! It’s an unforgettable experience.
The Mount Vernon/Gunston Hall field trip has been
rescheduled for April 28th, 2016. New permission slips went
home last week. No payment is needed but please sign the
new permission slips and return then ASAP.


