Call To Order: Meeting is called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Approval Of Minutes: Brianne motions to approve the minutes from last week, Kelsey seconds. All in favor and minutes are approved.

Additions Or Corrections To Agenda: Mary would like to add the Science Ed club under club recognition. Jackie would like to add Johnny

Nguyen and Jacob Darley to SAS appointments.

Approval of Agenda: Brianne motions to approve the agenda with the above corrections, Kelsey seconds. All in favor and the agenda is approved.

Officer Reports

Executive Vice President: Clint Wylie BODEVP@cwu.edu As usual, this week he has been trying to get people to serve on committees. He has a meeting with Bob and Ginger, she was relaying to him that the position he is trying to fill is the art committee and he needs a specific art student to serve on this committee. He has also been working with the publicity center to get our photos and frames for the BOD conference room.

Vice President for Clubs and Organizations: Mary Orthmann BODClubs@cwu.eduClub senate is meets next week in Dean 104 at 7. They have are almost completely finished with streamlining the recognition process for spring quarter recognitions and she will present it to our next meeting.

Vice President for Academic Affairs: Jaclyn Sperlich BODAcademic@cwu.edu

At SAS they have been working on appointments for this year and appointments for next year. She did a lot of budget research today for SAS and next year’s allocations. This week she has been thinking of ways that she can leave recommendations for her successor in the coming year. Also, a lot of the SAS senators are excited to see Anthony Roblas, so students are encouraged to attend at 6:30 in the ballroom.

Vice President for Equity and Community Affairs: Bryan Elliot BODCommunity@cwu.eduAnthony Roblas event is happening April 25 at 6:30 in the ballroom, free tickets are available online. World Language day is May 3 rd

from 10 - 3 with lots of multicultural events. Wounded Warrior project at Bleachers, they will donate 10 percent of profits to the wounded Warrior Project on

April 26 and May 16. Also he is working on his continuity binder for next year. Additionally, he is excited to announce that he has a working shredder!! Everyone welcome to come to Bryans office to see it!

Vice president for Legislative Affairs: Brianne Wood BODLeg@cwu.eduthis week she has been finalizing organization for college civics week, which starts on May 6th- May 9th. There will be events throughout the week that are sponsored by the second floor of the

SURC (CDSJ, CLCE, BOD Office, Student Life etc). There will be mock trials of first amendment trials and hey Marseilles will be performing on May 9th. Free meal for the first 300 students with connection cards. Also the Washington bus will be there to promote themselves! Next

Monday the 29th at 5:00 will be the WSA chapter meeting in the BOD Conference room.

Vice President for Student Life and Facilities: Kelsey Furstenwerth BODStuLife@cwu.eduSpring quarter is her favorite time of year! There are a bunch of spring events for students! She went to the spring symposium, it was sunny with lots of students present and vendors, it was a great event! Tomorrow is Rock Against Rape at 5:00-8:30 p.m. with free music and booths set up for games and trivia, you can get free sunglasses and tee shirt in the ballroom. Dining is hosting a blast from the past dinner, it will be 50s themed.

Remember to check out OPR for outdoor events like sunset hikes!

President: KJ Stilling BODPresident@cwu.eduHe would like to welcome all of the students who came. He was able to do some life jacket training with some children at the community pool. State of the union address is coming up with more information available to come. Downtown cleanup is this weekend! There will be free compost and free flowers to plant, from 8 am-10am at the Rotary

Pavilion at 4th and Pearl. There are a lot of great spring events going on! Check them all out!

Student Academic Senate Appointments

• Johnny Nguyen- political science senator

Jackie motions to approve, Brianne seconds. All in favor and the motion carries with one abstention from Jackie.

• Jacob Darley- biology senator

Jackie moves to appoint, Bryan seconds and all in favor and the motion carries with one abstention from Jackie.

Club Senate Club Recognition

Science Education Club-the majority of the club is comprised of future science educators. Meetings at Thursdays but they meet bi monthly 5:00 pm in science 116.

Mary entertains a motion to approve the above club, Clint so moves and Jackie seconds. One abstention and the club is recognized.

Old Business:

Primary Election Day. Support, Vote, Recruit. Election Results.

Tabling 10AM – 7PM tomorrow. Elections SURC.

Next BOD Meeting will be held 7PM April 30 th in SURC room 301

S&A Meets in here (SURC 301) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays

May 1st is the BOD debate at 6:00 in the SURC Pit, voting opens up on May 2nd.

Public Comments: Public Comments may be submitted to KJ Stilling in person or via email BODPresident@cwu.edu. Public comments may also be presented at the time of the meeting

Adjournment: Bryan moves to adjourn this meeting, Mary seconds. All in favor and motion carries. Meeting is adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
