RANK, SALARY AND BENEFITS: We seek to fill this position at either the Assistant Professor level. The current California

commensurate with education and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Agricultural Economics or related
area such as Marketing, Finance, or Business. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered; however,
the doctorate must be complete prior to the appointment to a tenure-track position.
Additional qualifications include:




Ability to teach Agricultural Management, Marketing, and/or Policy
Demonstrated ability and excellence in applied research
Excellent written and oral communication skills; and
Commitment to and/or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals
from diverse backgrounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 Previous experience in undergraduate teaching
 Ability to teach a variety of Agricultural Business courses
 Knowledge of US agricultural production
At the time of employment, the successful candidate, if not a U.S. citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of
Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States. Evidence of degree(s) is also required at time of hire.
PROFESSIONAL DUTIES: (may be edited for specific position but should include all basic required duties) Candidates
should be committed to teaching excellence and to building a strong research & publication record. Instructional assignments
will be consistent with the programmatic needs of the department and students.
The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching, research and scholarship with
graduate and undergraduate students, and service to the University, profession and to the community. These responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office
hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions.
