Orientation/Institutional and Endowment Scholarships
The Institutional and Endowment scholarship applications, particular to the MC
Art Dept. are due by April 1st of each selection cycle. Thus the next round of
submissions is due Aril 1st 2015.
There are usually 5 institutional Scholarships @ $1,000.00 each and 11
Endowment Scholarships awarded each year. The funds are dispersed in two
equal payments. One half of the amount is given out in the fall semester and the
other half is given out in the spring semester of that award cycle.
The Endowment funds are often generated by the stock market and may vary
from cycle to cycle depending on the rise and fall of the various investments.
Each scholarship is decided on by a committee made up of Art dept. faculty.
Special Note:
The application must be filled out in full
The portfolio should be an excellent representation of the student’s work
Submit the application electronically (only) before the due date.
A student must resubmit each cycle even though they have received an award in
a previous cycle.

Note, These in house Art Dept. awards are based upon the merit of the students
art work, the donor’s expectations of the said award, and financial needs. To learn
