Role of Associate Deans
Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching)
Roles and Responsibilities

In conjunction with Dean, Associate Deans for Undergraduate and Postgraduate
studies, and Professoriate, provide leadership in the teaching and learning
activities of the Faculty.

Support the development and innovation of teaching in the Faculty.

Co-ordinate Learning and Teaching forums.

Prepare and monitor the Learning and Teaching Strategic Plan of the Faculty.

Chair the Learning and Teaching Committee of the Faculty.

Member of the Faculty Management Committee and Academic Programs
Management Committee.

Oversee the preparation of a list of Faculty publications and activities in relation
to research-led teaching and scholarship in teaching.

Represent the Faculty on appropriate University Committees.

Prepare and present an annual report to the Faculty.

Co-ordinate submissions of TIF/TIES/TIP and other teaching grant applications.
