HOW TO FIND A
WORK-STUDY JOB
Congratulations, you have been awarded work-study for the
2001-02 academic year. To find a job:
 Review the Job Descriptions that are printed in the Brewton-Parker
College Archway Newspaper under Work-Study Want Ads. The
newspaper should be in your campus box August 23, 2001.
 Select a job that interests you and set up an interview with the contact
listed.
 If both you and the employer are satisfied with the interview, come to the
Financial Aid Office to pick up a Referral Form.
THE REFERRAL FORM SHOULD BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY TO THE
FINANCIAL AID OFFICE AFTER YOU AND YOUR SUPERVISOR HAVE SIGNED
IT.
THE BUSINESS OFFICE WILL NOT PRINT WORK-STUDY CHECKS
WITHOUT CONFIRMATION THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED A JOB.
 When you have completed your referral form, you will receive a workstudy handbook that will provide other useful information including
how to complete timesheets and how pay checks are distributed.
IF YOU HAVE NOT FOUND A WORK-STUDY POSITION OR
CONTACTED THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE TO INFORM
US OF YOUR INTEREST BY SEPTEMBER 7TH, WE WILL
ASSUME THAT YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN WORKSTUDY.
