Steering Committee Meeting Minutes
Friday, March 7, 2014, 10:00 – 11:30
Present: Melanie Perreault (co-chair), Kara Siegert (co-chair), Darrell Newton, Dane Foust, Betty
Crockett, Christy Weer, Aaron Basko, Karen Olmstead, Simeon Ananou, Kathleen Shannon.
Two committee members were not in attendance: C. Thomas McMillen, BOR Secretary and Student
Member, Sarah McCullough.
The bulk of the meeting was spent reviewing and editing research questions.
Working Groups: Volunteers were assigned to Standards. (Melanie, the agenda said “Form Working
Groups”, the spreadsheet was updated on this meeting date, so I assume this is the work that was done
in the meeting? )
From the agenda: Review University Mission Statement.
Are there special areas of emphasis we should add in light of the new (draft) mission statement?
