Chart to Decide Protocol Review • Take some time to review all your journal entries up to this point. • Look for ideas and questions. Reconsider • Identify what is interesting to you. • Use a highlighter to mark what's interesting. Visualize your questions • Create a chart of your ideas. • Look for similarities and differences. • Place similar ideas together in a cluster of circles. • With new ideas, create a new cluster of circles. • Write a question that represents the ideas in each cluster. Identify three of the most interesting questions. Share with your inquiry circle • Take your chart to the inquiry circle to help you identify the direction of your inquiry. Consider the following questions with your group: • How much time do I have? • How much information is available? • What are my learning goals? • Am I interested in this?
