E-book capabilities vary by vendor, but most offer hyperlink navigation and keyword searching within the text. You will need to go back to the Books collection A-Z list to open any e-books. We have opened the A list from the Books collection list. Note that the list includes non healthrelated titles. You will need time to locate the titles that will be of use to you. We will look at some of the Taylor & Francis e-books. The first way to access these titles is via the Books collection A-Z list. We have opened the Books collection B Accessible Content list and identified two titles. A second option is, via the Publishers list, and open Taylor & Francis. Displayed is the list of Accessible Content journals and e-books from this publish and, on this page, there are 7 book titles noted. We will open Behavior, Health and Aging. When a publisher grants access to your institution, this is a useful way of identifying what e-books are available. Now displayed is the initial page of the Behavior, Health and Aging that includes the citation information for the book. We will click on the green Access icon. We will click on the Quick access option. Now opened is the Quick Access option. Note the print, zoom, full screen and display page options. We now will click on the Download a copy option. Now displayed is the title page to the downloaded PDF version of the book. Note the zoom, save and print options in Chrome. These may be displayed differently in other browsers. The Contents page now is displayed. Note that this PDF version does not contain any hypertext links. Via the A listing in the Books collection A-Z drop down menus, we have opened the American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Psychiatry, 5th edition (2008), one of the psychiatry related e-books from this publisher. You also can access these titles by opening the Publishers list and clicking on American Psychiatric Publishing - to display the Accessible Content material. We now have opened is the O list from the Books collection A-Z list - for an institution where many titles are not included in the publishers’ offer. Note that there are only 7 items (2 publishers) in the Accessible Content list. In the All Items display option, most of the titles will have the white box with the ! exclamation point.
