King and Queen Candidate
Application Process
If you meet the following qualifications, we would very much like to encourage you to
participate in this very rewarding event. We consider this an honorable and respectable position,
and it is our way of recognizing deserving members. We are very proud of our past royalty and
appreciate all the work they have done especially in regards to the 4-H program.
Qualifications:
 Must be a current, active 4-H or FFA member in good standing
 Must meet fair participation requirements:
a) Must have Paid Dues
b) Must have attended 6 meetings by fair time
 Must be 13 to 18 years old (as of January 1, 2016)
 May only serve as 4-H & Youth Fair King or Queen one time
Process:
 Contact the Extension office to schedule an interview on June 28. 573-5813231
 Submit completed application to the Extension Office by Friday, June 24
 All applicants must attend interview process and must wear appropriate dress.
 Candidates will then be subject to the popular vote by all members during
project judging on July 15 during project judging.
The 4-H & Youth Fair King and Queen must be willing to be present at various fair shows and
awards presentations throughout the fair and be present to crown the new King and Queen the
following year.
