PLEASE make sure your ‘treat’ has a label indicating that there are no traces of peanuts or peanut oil in the treat you will be serving per the JPS rules. CAUTION: even if the treat you choose does not have peanuts, pay close attention to the bottom of the labels. It often states “manufactured on the same equipment that also makes products containing peanuts and tree nuts.” We are not allowed to serve treats with those labels either. To help out, our school nurse will be glad to give you a list of some appropriate snacks/places that provide labels.
