Practicing Self-Discipline
The character habit for the month of November is self-discipline. Students at Jenks East
Elementary are focusing on taking charge of their own behavior and controlling their
actions. These traits will demonstrate responsibility and maturity, two important
components of self-discipline.
Some of the ways that students will be practicing self-discipline is by controlling their
emotions, maintaining structure in their lives by following a routine and a schedule, and as
they take charge of themselves, they will become better students.
Please join all of us at Jenks East Elementary as we support our students in their efforts
toward character development!
