Young International Airport. An employee in this position is responsible for oversight of all airport activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Administration, Public Administration or Business Administration. Nine years of public sector or Aviation-related experience including five years of administrative, supervisory and management responsibility. Experience must include project management, capital development, federally-funded contracts and grants, and long-range planning. Knowledge of airport operations, safety and maintenance processes and procedures, and FAA rules and regulations is required. Successful candidate must possess, or qualify to acquire within six (6) months of hire, Airport Manager licensure issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Candidates considered for placement in this classification may be subject to a Criminal Background Investigation based on the requirements of the position. Evaluation Process 1.
