Title: Aircraft Parts/Maintenance Sales Manager Responsibilities: Contact prospective and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how their needs could be met by our specific parts/services. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences. Answer customers’ questions about products/services, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms and quote prices. Listen to and resolve customers’ complaints regarding products or services. Emphasize aircraft part features based on analyses of customers’ needs, and on technical knowledge of the part’s capabilities and limitation; make educated suggestions. Negotiate prices and terms of sales and services agreements. Prepare information for Client Manager to create sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit for processing. Maintain and grow sales portfolio; Maintain client profitability at desired levels set by the President. Raise awareness of products/services within North America, Canada, and Mexico: visit all the airports, FBO’s, hangars, suppliers and vendors for development of new accounts within assigned region. Assist collecting on accounts that are delinquent in payment. Anticipate demand and lack thereof; adjust selling position accordingly while ensuring profitability. Interface with NJM/NAI Operations to ensure all maintenance is executed in compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and General Maintenance Manual standards. Prepare Maintenance/Service Quotes; aggressively sell those which assist in optimizing utilization of NAI maintenance staff; maintain customer records. Interface with Accounting Department to ensure accurate invoicing at the completion of each service. Job Requirements: 2 Year Degree in A&P Mechanics, Aviation Science and Administration, Aircraft Avionics, Business Administration, or Sales/Marketing preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years experience in sales-marketing and/or Customer Service. Must have an understanding of Aviation market and pricing strategies. Customer service orientation with absolute integrity Computer Proficiency and software skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM. In-depth understanding of FAR governing the operation of part 145 maintenance. The ability to speak clearly, listen to customer needs, and negotiate through problem solving. Ability to frequently travel and connect with airports, FBO’s, hangars, suppliers and vendors. Submit to an initial drug test along with random drug and alcohol testing in order to comply with safety guidelines. 3/2010
