The goals of this upper-division course are to improve students’ skills in writing and speaking in Italian, as well as to increase their level of comprehension, both reading and listening. Furthermore, we aim at expanding the students’ knowledge of Italian culture through a lively interaction with Italians. ______- ITC 349 – Rome at the Movies (Paola Bonifazio) Prerequisite: None This course is taught in English. The course will briefly sketch the rich life of the Eternal City through films, including both fictions and non-fictions, popular cinema, and art films. Some of the filmmakers included: Federico Fellini, PierPaolo Pasolini, Mario Monicelli, Lina Wertmuller, Nanni Moretti, and Susanna Nicchiarelli.
