INVITATION AS A RESOURCE PERSON AT THE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT (CPD) PROGRAMME OF NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
KWARA STATE BRANCH
In line with directives of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the Nigerian
Medical Association Kwara State branch is organizing a 2-days continuing professional
development programme (CPD) for all medical practitioners in the state. The details of the
programme are as follows:

Subtitle: THE ROLE OF PHYSICIANS IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT
Date:
8th and 9th July, 2011
Venue:
Princess Luxury Hotels and Tourism, Plot 31, Pipeline road, Ilorin,
Kwara State.
Duration: 8.00am – 2.00pm daily
In recognition of your stellar qualities as a person and your qualifications and endeavours in
your chosen field, we believe you are the most suitable person to deliver a lecture on the
topic: ‘’EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE: THE ROLE OF
PHYSICIANS IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT’’
Therefore, on behalf of the State Executive Council of NMA Kwara, we hereby invite you as
a resource person for the above topic at the forthcoming CPD programme. Please find
attached the detail programme of events of the CPD.
Sir, we shall appreciate it if you can oblige us the following:
1. An official letter of acceptance of this invitation.
2. A soft copy of your abridged curriculum vitae or resume ( which is required by
MDCN for accreditation purposes only)
3. An outline of your proposed course content or minimum learning objectives based on
the topic.
4. A soft copy of your lecture in MS word and/or MS power points slides ( to be
available at least 72 hours to the day of the lecture, for the purpose of producing
copies for participants)
5. A pre- and post course test questions; a mix of multiple choice and True/False format;
maximum of twenty (20) questions that should be answerable by the participants in a
time duration of ten (10) minutes, maximum score is to be set at 100.
6. Any other request / information that you deem necessary towards a smooth delivery
of your lecture.
Kindly be informed Sir, that the association will be providing an honorarium and transport
fare while you, as a resource person will also earn the same CPD credit units as the
participants.
