STRATINC
Tenerife meeting
Methodological Guidebook
session
April 7.
Presentation of a Blueprint
Rationale :
• Strategic Intelligence is a concept that
may be part of a “public policy”, the
relevant issues to address could be for
instance governance issues, not
necessarily related to immediate economic
topics but having a strong impact on the
market in the mid-term.

Some key points agreed
Stratinc Strategic Intelligence platforms implemented
at each partner’s (sector’s) level should address
three levels of topics:
•
Micro-level : capacity to provide services to clients, in
particular SMEs which will use the information in their
own interest, and to address individual needs
•
Meso-level : capacity to address collective needs
related to “cluster” issues, in particular through the
development of a foresight vision as a stimulator for
clustering and a constant benchmarking (of companies
and regions)
•
Macro-level : capacity to improve the cluster social
capital

And Now ?
Discussion :
• Do you think the questions are relevant ?
• Can we match questions/answers with the
methodological guide book chapters proposed ?
– Introduction : presentation of Stratinc results +
awareness raising on SI
– 3 chapters : methodologies for identifying SMEs
needs and clusters needs, related to foresight and
benchmarking, tools, functioning
– Boxes: clusters case studies

And Now ?
• Who does what – what has been already
done ?
• Next steps ?
… and check that the writing down effectively
addresses the issues of the micro-mesomacro « system », and to which extent
…illustrate the text and question with small
examples coming out from the Stratinc
experience : in boxes
