Kenneth B. Black Experience Ken Black engages in a complex business litigation practice, with emphasis in intellectual property and securities-related disputes. He represents clients in patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright, and right of publicity disputes. Ken has also litigated a wide range of intellectual property-related contract, licensing, trade secrets, and unfair competition disputes. Targus, Inc., C.R. Bard, Inc., Schiff Nutrition International, Inc., GE Capital Financial, Inc., and Sepracor, Inc. are just some of the clients Ken has recently represented in intellectual property disputes. Ken has handled matters in a variety of substantive areas, from medical devices, to business methods and processes, to consumer products. In a recent case for Targus in Southern California, Ken obtained a summary judgment of non-infringement on a plaintiff's patent infringement claims and secured a unanimous affirmance on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
