Edward L. Epstein Experience Ed Epstein has a corporate and securities practice advising businesses on transaction structures and business structures, operations, mergers and acquisitions and financing. He advises clients in the health care industry and has represented clinical laboratories, hospitals, professional corporations and managed care organizations. Since the 1960s Ed has acted as counsel to companies involved in logging, forest products manufacturing, money management, electronics, software production, medical and dental equipment, casualty insurance and the management of regulated investment companies and real estate investment trusts. He has spoken and written on such subjects as mergers and acquisitions, the taxation of timber operations, the taxation of real estate investment trusts, the keeping of corporate minutes and other records, consolidation in the health care industry, the antitrust aspects of consolidation in the health care industry and organization of managed care entities.
