Joel A. Mullin
Experience
Joel Mullin is a partner of the firm and a trial lawyer. Joel concentrates his practice
on business disputes, with a focus on contract matters, the energy industry, disputes
among shareholders, partners and LLC members, as well as those that arise postclosing in asset and stock purchase agreements. Joel also represents companies in
actions brought by state agencies, including allegations of violations of consumer
protection statutes. Joel has extensive trial, jury trial and arbitration experience and
has handled matters in state and federal court throughout the United States. Joel
regularly appears before appellate courts, having represented parties before the
Delaware Supreme Court, appellate courts in Oregon and Illinois, and in the Eighth,
Ninth and Tenth Circuits.

Joel previously served as Firm Counsel of Stoel Rives (2004-2008) and was a trial
attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice (1982-1985). While with the Department
