This software can also be used to establish a student database and keep track of student’s progress in the program. It is the same software that is used by the PTA program; therefore, the two programs can share some common fieldwork data and database set-up. The program needs to pay an annual fee to ACOTE to remain accredited. Access to current study materials in the classroom and labs are needed. Strategies for enhancing the applicant pool are needed in order to maximize enrollment. Advertising and program materials are essential in any marketing campaign. Faculty, particularly the program director needs to keep current on trends and issues in the profession. Attending at least one of the 2 program director’s meetings held each year would help the program director keep updated. Current, safe and efficient lab equipment is necessary for student use.
