Wrote article for May Dateline SCC and fall TAB to
promote the September opening of light rail: “10
Great Reasons to Ride RT to SCC.” Worked with
RT on the grand opening celebration September 26.
Festivities included a ceremony at City College light
rail station and working a booth at the community
event in the evening.
Finalized content of publications & marketing guide
with committee input and will send logos and seals
out for faculty, staff and student vote in late April.
The guide will be completed during the summer and
posted on the Web.

Work with Regional Transit on Grand Opening

Work with members of Publications & Marketing
Committee on low-cost marketing tips
1c
Incorporate more publications into evolving
Web-based publications, minimizing expenses
and maximizing the opportunity to make changes
in a timely manner.
Added to the Web the TAB, Jumpstart, Dateline SCC
and the Faculty Handbook. Also worked with
individual departments to update/add information.
Work with District PIOs to help maintain or
increase enrollment in spite of declining budget
Last fall, when fees went from $11 to $18 a unit, the
district lost about 3,400 students. Fees are expected to
increase again this fall, yet the district hopes to
increase summer enrollment by 10% and fall by 4%. I
serve on an enrollment management committee on
campus and at the district to strategize ways to retain
our current students and increase high-school student
enrollment. Tab and Jumpstart marketing will be
geared toward boosting enrollment.

The information has been updated, but we will be
looking for new stories to promote different
programs.
Working with Louise Winkelblack and Quinn
Nakano, many changes have been made to these
pages since the program began last fall. The demand
Create & Maintain Web pages for Associate
for specific information from individual cohorts has
2b
Degree Nursing Program Extended Campus
necessitated constant review and revisions. Web
pages are now the primary source of information for
students.
Other Accomplishments: Linda Kalber helped plan and execute a grand opening celebration for the Sutter Center for Health
Professions and a dedication ceremony for the City Café. She also attended numerous meetings of the Citizen’s Advisory
Committee, the Land Park Community Association, the Capital Shrine Bowl, and continues to serve as a representative on the
Freeport Boulevard Improvement Committee. Nicole Luna kept the online faculty and staff directory accurate and current and
published printed phonebooks for full and part-time faculty. She also worked with various departments to update the online
calendar and Hughes Stadium/Sutterville Road electronic sign with activities and events, and posted the Staff News online. Both
Linda and Nicole served on accreditation teams.
