Switch off all lights and equipment when not in use
Encourage staff to use stairs instead of lifts
Use equipment more efficiently
Increase freezer temperature from -80 oC to-70oC
Don’t leave thermal cyclers on 4oC hold
Don’t overfill kettles
Only heat as much as you need
Use public transport when travelling to the department and when on departmental business
Use double sided printing
Report any dripping taps or faulty air conditioning to estates
