Activities completed to date Conducted research and literature review on components of academic excellence and gathered existing information on diversity at IUN Method of Engagement/Feedback Committee Sub-Teams (4) & Full Committee Submitted working definition of diversity to campus community Full Committee. Emailed entire campus community. Conducted open forum. Conducted personal interviews with faculty. Developed a revised draft of diversity linking to and supporting academic excellence Distributed revised draft of diversity definition to campus (Phase II) Full Committee Solicit specific draftrelated feedback using email, hard copy packages, invitation letter, web-based responses, attending faculty organizations, and feedback sessions with staff and students Results (for both activity and engagement process) Committee created a distribution package to solicit feedback from campus community. What data have you collected that address the AQIP questions that were assigned to your committee’s outcome? None; however, after meeting with the Outcome 3 sponsor to assign AQIP questions some data collected may be useful in addressing specific campus sentiment about valuing people. 3 OUTCOME 4 Strategic Planning Outcome Status Report What are your specific action steps to ensure that the data needed to complete the systems portfolio related to your Outcome have been completed by November 30? o Work with Outcome #3 sponsor to jointly decide how to coordinate answers and which committee will answer specific questions. Chairs: Outcome #3 and Outcome #4 June 20, 2004 o Provide the Outcome #4 committee information and overview of AQIP and an understanding of their role in the collection of information for the portfolio.
