AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE CITY OFFICIALS AUTHORIZED TO
DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY
Whereas, an occurrence or threat of an occurrence, whether natural or man made, that
results in or may result in substantial injury or harm to the population or substantial
damage or loss of property and may result in the need to declare a state of emergency by
municipal officials.
Now, Therefore, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Rockford,
Tennessee that the Mayor, or the Vice-mayor in the mayor’s absence, may declare a state
of emergency for the City of Rockford.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage the public welfare requiring it.
