It is my pleasure to send you as an attachment the document containing the detailed module
descriptors for our brand-new, all-in-English International Industrial and Business Management
semester. It will start for the first time in September 2016.
Our objective is to have up to 18-20 international students from a wide variety of countries and
academic backgrounds (the semester is open to students from both an engineering / technical
background as well as those from a more marketing and management one). The idea is to widen and
deepen students’ knowledge, whatever the background, and for them to learn from each other and
work in an international environment. We will also be organizing company visits to illustrate what is
being done in class.
The course is aimed primarily (but not exclusively) at semester 5 (3rd year) students. However, we are
obviously happy to accept students that you will nominate and that wish to participate in the semester.
I would be very grateful if you could pass this document on to the relevant people for examination and
please feel free to ask any questions about the modules. If your students do not have some of the
necessary pre-requisites for some of the modules, it will be possible to send some preliminary reading
so as not to exclude them. On the other hand, please know that if the students already have some
knowledge concerning some of the courses, we are able to be flexible and customize in order to make
the module more difficult !!
