Suggested steps to find errors in the workbook DSS_G
The following assumption is made: the data printed in form of the four Reports (BALANCE
SHEET; PROFIT AND LOSS ACCOUNT; CASH FLOW and ADDITIONAL INFO ON COMPANY) and
describing the financial and economic situation in your COMPANY in month No. 2 are real
(actual) data, regardless of whether you have fulfilled the requirements described in the
Appendix 9 or not (it means that the requirements described in the Appendix 9 are no more
valid for finding errors in the workbook DSS_G).
In order to identify errors in your DSS_G system the following steps are suggested:
1. Compare the quantities (measured in: kg, pieces, persons) at the end of month No. 2 that
you have in your DSS_G (examples: number of pieces of electronics, number of kg of
granulate, number of machine operators and other) to the corresponding data printed in the
Report ADDITIONAL INFO ON COMPANY. In case of any differences – correct (change) the
adequate input data/formulas in your EXCEL workbook. Please remember that the values in
EXCEL must be equal to those printed in the Report.
2. Compare (step by step) the values of the following inventories at the end of month No. 2,
that you have in DSS_G to the corresponding values printed in the Report BALANCE SHEET:
2.1. Materials (granulate, electronics)
2.2. Casings
2.3. Finished products
In case of any differences – correct (change) the adequate input data/formulas in your
EXCEL workbook.
3. Compare the values of Period Costs identified in DSS_G (starting with General and
Administrative Costs) to the corresponding values printed in the Report PROFIT AND LOSS
ACCOUNT (Group of Costs B6 and E2). In case of any differences – correct (change) the
adequate input data/formulas in your EXCEL workbook.
4. Check and correct the formulas that you have in the bottom part of your DSS_G system,
starting with the item Additional revenues (Trainer).
5. Compare the values in your worksheet CashFlow to those printed in the Report CASH
FLOW. In case of any differences – correct (change) the adequate input data/formulas in
your EXCEL workbook.
Important remark: the difference in amount of 1 [PLN] between the values of:
- Profit/Loss before taxation calculated in DSS_G and that printed in the Report PROFIT
AND LOSS ACCOUNT as well as
-
The amount of cash at the end of month No. 2 calculated in DSS_G and that printed
in the Report CASH FLOW
is acceptable and does not require further correction.
