Answer all questions.
1- Determine the stretch in each of the two springs required to hold the 20-kg crate in the
equilibrium position shown. Each spring has an unstretched length of 2 m and a stiffness
constant of k = 300 N/m.
2- Replace the force and couple moment system by a wrench. Determine the position
P(x,y) where the line of action of the wrench intersects the (x,y) plane.
3- Determine the tension in the cable and the horizontal and vertical components of the
reaction at the pin A. The pulley at D is frictionless and the cylinder weighs 80 lb.
