Director Position Description:
■ Provide strategic leadership to the center that positions CRS as a world leader in retailing education,
service and research.
■ Identify and cultivate new corporate and academic relationships that benefit CRS with research
opportunities, valuable industry affiliations, and funding. Seek to enrich current sponsor relationships.
■ Develop customized campus recruitment plans with partner companies that connect them with top
undergraduate talent.
■ Engage in business development throughout Texas and beyond to involve new sponsor partners with
A&M.
■ Oversee the Retailing Summit, a signature CRS conference for over 300 retailing executives in Dallas.
Duties include speaker recruitment, program conceptualization, sponsor confirmation, and budgeting.
■ Strategize the communications, promotions, and PR for unit through the development of a highly
professional, public image of CRS consistent with Mays Business School.
■ Responsible for organizational budgeting, fiscal responsibility and operational sustainability.
■ Hire, supervise, mentor and evaluate non-classified staff to encourage their professional success and
superior execution of job responsibilities. Clearly communicate performance expectations to staff.
■ Ensure that all programs comply with university, state and federal rules.

Director in 2014.

in diverse marketing fields including retailing, sales, advertising, event planning and PR.
■ Provide career counseling for internships and professional placements.
■ Build relationships with corporate partners to identify top quality internship opportunities for
Marketing majors; maintain close relationships with TAMU Career Center to provide special training
workshops for interning or job seeking students.
