Gerald Road Carriageway and
Footway Reconstruction
Action Required
The Lead Member was informed that the New Deal for Communities
Team had been consulted and it had been established that (a) the
proposed new development would be immediately adjacent to Seaford
Road and extends approximately a maxium of 20 metres , (b) the
intention was to lay base course only at this point so that the developer
could then top off upon completion and (c)the remainder of the road
would be completed within these works.
Accordingly the Lead Member accepted the target cost quotation from
Urban Vision (Highway Services) the sum of £102,575.75 to carry out
the improvement of carriageway/ footway at Gerald Road from its
junction with Seaford Road to the River Irwell footbridge andauthorised
the expenditure of £20,890 on Urban Vision fees.
