 Record of the meeting held on 6th September, 2004 – noted
 Customer Services monthly update – specific reference to:
o Council Tax collection - above same period last year
o Business Rate collection – down on last year due to some
large accounts being paid monthly rather than in a lump sum
o Business Rate revaluation due in 2005
o Small Business Rates relief – Lead Member to issue
statement at October Council meeting
o Benefits Overpayments
o Benefit Fraud Case
o Benefits Fraud Team taking part in a BBC documentary
o Implementation of SX3 taking up a lot of staff time mainly
due to training requirements
o Increase in number of calls to NPHL as a result of their
change in notification of repairs etc. Councillor Murphy to
be provided with a briefing note in advance of NPHL Board
meetings
o Health Walks
o Community Telematics
 Law and Admin monthly update – defer to next week
 Proposals for capital expenditure – following proposals approved:
o Weaste Renewal Area Block Improvements - £184,727.
o Trafford Road Barton, accident reduction scheme - £92,000.
