SALFORD GREENSPACE STRATEGY – SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING
DOCUMENT: CONSULTATION DRAFT
Committee noted at the February meeting that the draft Salford Greenspace
Strategy was out for consultation between 17th February and 30th March.
Committee requested that details be provided.
The Greenspace Strategy SPD takes forward the recreation and open space
policies contained in the Draft Replacement Unitary Development Plan. In
particular it identifies the existing sites that will help the city to meet its local
recreational standards and the policies by which to secure high quality
facilities, accessible to all. It is important that our plans meet the aspirations of
the community. This consultation period is an opportunity to consider the
proposed protection and improvement of greenspaces in the city and share
views that you may have.
Views on suggested changes must be made in writing if they are to be
considered
