ENFORCEMENT PROTOCOL WITH RELEVANT BODIES UNDER LICENSING ACT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the Licensing Regulatory Panel confirms its agreement that the Licensing Authority should
become a signatory to the Joint Enforcement Protocol.
Licensing Authorities across Greater Manchester are taking steps to
enter into Enforcement Protocols with the relevant bodies in their areas to lay down guidelines on
how the various authorities will work together to enforce the new legislation.

Licensing Authorities across Greater Manchester are taking steps to enter into
Enforcement Protocols with the relevant bodies in their areas to lay down guidelines on
how the various authorities will work together to enforce the new legislation.
The relevant authorities to enter into such a Protocol in Salford would be the
 Licensing Authority
 Environmental Health
 Trading Standards
 Greater Manchester Police
 Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
All these authorities have been consulted on the attached draft Protocol and have
indicated their agreement to become signatories.
